4. The following coursework is required for completion of your Certificate Program - which totals 18 credit hours.
Required Core Courses: (7 hours required)
- 5 day Mediation Training and follow-up Mediation Theory - 3 credits
- Negotiation - 2 credits
- Dispute Resolution - 2 credits
Required Practice Courses: (7 hours required)
- Mediation Clinic - 3 credits
- Externship - 2 credits (Scot Dewhirst will help you select Externship Placement)
- Writing Requirement – 2 credits (Administered by Terry Wheeler)
Electives: (4 hours required)
- 4 hours from any of the other dispute resolution courses that are offered.
