Mission Statement

The Office of Multicultural Affairs will support underrepresented students at Capital University Law School through recruitment efforts, program development, counseling, and advocacy. The Office will communicate with alumni from underrepresented groups and represent the university in communities that have not traditionally produced CULS students.

The Office of Multicultural Affairs will be a part of the Department of Student Affairs and work with all students, faculty & staff to raise awareness and appreciation of diversity and promote the benefits of community service. This work will be done in conjunction with the CULS 2006-2010 Strategic plan; which identified the following strategies as a part of the ‘Building on our Momentum, Securing our Future’ initiative:

• Strengthening and diversifying our student body while
• Honoring our core value of access to a legal education;
• Enhancing the student educational experience;
• Increasing the engagement of our alumni; and
• Developing a culture of philanthropy.
