The team consisting of Ms. Douglas, Ms. Fulmer Stevenson, and Mr. Rutz was another qualifying finalist team in the Northeast Regional Rounds of the NAAC. At the NAAC finals they advanced to the quarter final rounds. Team members Dan Hale and Linda Hayman, took first place in both the NAAC regional competition and the Region VI rounds of the National Moot Court Competition, winning the award for the best brief in the latter. They were the first Capital team to win regional honors in both of these national competitions. The other team, consisting of Nich Betascon, Mark Engel, & Mark Riley, took second place in the NAAC regional's and also participated in the national final rounds.
