History

The 2005-2006 team (l-r): Jeff Angel, Sean Cunningham-Reid, Anne Gillilan, Jenifer Thompson (asst. coach), L'02, and Lisa Eschleman, L'87 (coach)

2005-2006: The 2005-2006 season was the first year of the Child Welfare and Adoption National Moot Court Competition. The team of Jeff Angel, Anne Gilliland and Sean Cunningham-Reid argued brilliantly in the preliminary rounds losing by only the very narrowest of margins including a loss by one point in the third round. While losses in the early rounds kept the team from advancing to the semi-finals, the team, coached by Adjunct Professor Lisa Eschleman, L’87, was extremely well prepared and were very competitive in each of the preliminary rounds.

After the 2006-2007 season, the team was disbanded to focus on administering the competition.
