Externship Opportunities for Spring 2008 – Applications Due Oct. 30, 2007.

After spending hours in the classroom learning legal principles, students are often anxious to put their theoretical knowledge to use. The Capital University Law School Externship program offers students a taste of what it might be like to practice law.

As an Extern, you can:

• Work at a court, a government agency, or a legal services organization;
• Earn academic credit for your work (but not pay);
• Have on-going supervision by a member of the faculty and by an attorney at the externship site;
• Receive invaluable information about the realties of law practice through your experiences;
• Be one of the many students who state, "My externship was a highlight of my legal education."

You can gain:

• Networking skills and contacts
• Experience in legal research and writing
• An understanding of legal process in action
• Knowledge about a specific legal field
• Legal experience
